Worlds Tallest Waterslide Kansas City

Schlitterbahn is in the process of building the world’s tallest, fastest and most extreme waterslide in Kansas City. The new four-person raft VERRUCKT (it means insane in German) MEG-A-BLASTER speed-slide will shatter all existing records and tower over the current record holder, Insano at Beach Park located in Fortaleza, Brazil which stands a towering 134.5 feet and reaches speeds of 65.2 mph.

“To ensure the record-holding statistics of this new extreme attraction, we are not going to release final height and scope of the project until we are ready to welcome our first guests,” explained Jeff Henry, Schlitterbahn co-owner and award-winning designer of world-class attractions. “This new MEG-A-BLASTER speed-slide is going to wow our guests and is going to be a game changer for our industry. Our greatest challenge will be to find thrill seekers brave enough to ride.”

It would be nice if the article actually said how tall this world record shattering slide would be.

I think you might have missed this, which was toward the end of the article. Here, for your convenience: “To ensure the record-holding statistics of this new extreme attraction, we are not going to release final height and scope of the project until we are ready to welcome our first guests,”

Thanks, Sherlock. That is a range of a year. In no way is that an estimated opening date. Beginning of June, 2014 is an estimated opening date.

Manteca Waterslides used to have a waterslide called the VMax that was very similar in size and scale to this, located in Manteca, CA. Google it for images. They TORE IT DOWN and closed the park to build waterfront homes, which flopped BIG TIME. Sad day for northern California.

You don’t know the scale of it though….nobody does it hasn’t been released…
